Actors Opera and Light Opera of New York are presenting
a triple bill of Sir Arthur Sullivan one-act operettas at the International
Gilbert and Sullivan Festival this summer in England.
Although members of our group have previously performed
in Buxton, this is our first venture to the Festival as a Company,
and we hope to make it an annual event.
Two groups have combined forces to make this possible. |

Actors
Opera has been performing Gilbert and Sullivan revues for over ten years
throughought the Eastern United States. Past
Productions include "A Victorian Valentine" and "Savoyards,
Unchained." Founded by Nathan Hull and Julia Davidson Truilo, the
group also performs at two Elderhostels each
year in Vermont, "The Topsy-Turvy World of Gilbert and Sullivan," and "Ah,
Sweet Mystery: The Art and Music of the Operetta." Both are taught
by Mr Hull.
Light
Opera of New York (yes, LOONY) is a professional, not-for-profit operetta
company. No group is currently producing high quality operetta in New
York on a full-time basis, and LOONY has been recently been formed to
fill this void. Founding directors include Jack Behonek, Carol Davis,
Nathan Hull and Rich Miller.
